Statehood will also put controls on the current vendepatrias who have taken over the government, the court system, wherein you can get the best judges money can buy, the krim criminals and their buddies who are robbing the owners of the condos and other professional Puerto Ricans who have pulled down the great culture that heroes like Munoz showed to the world. I never thought that I and my Puerto Rican family would change from Status Quo but now with Fortuno cleaning up, we can regain the beautiful taino culture of the island.

The United States is an imperial power and Puerto Rico's status is just one example of this fact.
The U.S. must give Puerto Ricans the right to decide their own status by referendum.

There is really no other way to look at it.

As an Oklahoman-American, I would love to see Puerto Rico become a state. I spent 8 months with a Puerto Rican in a tank during Desert Storm and it was one of the best experiences in my life.
