Me resisto al igual que ustedes a aceptar el inmobilismo de la decada de los 50 y la ideologias del partido popular democratico de Puerto Rico. Entiendo que sera una lucha cuesta arriba, pero lo lograremos. Soy estudiante de escuela graduada aca en el estado de CT, donde habemos muchos Puertorriquenos que tienen que ser bien educados sobre este tan importante proceso. I enjoy this response a lot. I wonder how Americans think the names of many states came to be…
Montana – montaña (Mountain)
Colorado – río colorado (Red river)
Nevada – sierra nevada (Snow-capped mountains)
Arizona – árida + zona (Arid zone)
Florida – tierra florida (Florid land)
Texas – tejas (tiles)
California – calido + horno (Oven-hot land)

..and don’t get me started on the cities and towns…
Cape Canaveral – cabo cañaveral (Cape with a view of canes/reeds)
Islamorada – isla + amorada (Beloved Island)
Punta Gorda (Fat point)
Biscayne – Vizcaya (From Basque Country, Spain)
Las Vegas (The meadows)
Los Angeles – los ángeles (The angels)
anything with:
San, Santa (Saint)
Paso (Pass)
Las, Los

Over the years, the pronunciation has been anglicized and butchered, but let’s not forget we got a third of the US contiguous territory from Spain.

Knowledge is power. The people of Puerto Rico need equality and justice.
We are Americans/US Citizens by birth. On 1941 the citizens from Puerto Rico and The United States Virgin Islands became natural born US citizens.

well i was born in aguadilla P.R and i support the statehood because is the only solution to our problems so i approve the H.R 2499 i want puerto rico become a state no mare commonwealth only statehood

This is a videop I made to promote Puerto Rico Statehood. I am not Puerto Rican, but I do support the movement. The reason the views are so low is because I had to take down the video because of a spelling error. So this is the new brand new version. I hope you like it.
